January 2025
Happy New Year!
I hope you are doing well and looking forward to a new year filled with peace and joy. We are praying for another successful school year and completion of many projects that will help put the school in a sustainable position for many years into the future.
Thanks to God and those that have shared gifts to help us move forward with modernization of our kitchen, toilets, and play areas. We are expecting to position these students, and many in the future, to live lives of faith, hope and love with God.
Haiti and its children will continue to move forward step by step. Thanks to our leadership, teachers and support staff for what they do each day to continue developing opportunities for each of our 300 children.
On January 1, 2015, Adler (the HCH Financial Director), my wife, daughter and friend, traveled to Haiti after Adler had come to visit Nebraska and tour for fundraising in December 2014. I had been diagnosed with cancer. On arrival, we saw the first 4 rooms of our elementary school, with no roof or windows, just concrete walls. We wondered if our school would become a Christian Education Center.
10 years later, we have a Christian school with over 300 children, Kindergarten to High School. It has been amazing to have seen our school grow and educate children on the mountainside. We have survived many storms and are here to thank God for his grace.
We have educated hundreds of children and fed thousands of meals monthly. We are praying for completions and expansion, as the country stabilizes. The world has made many attempts to try and help Haiti. There have been many failures and misguided solutions often leading to worse situations instead of progress.
Haiti now stands alone to solve many of her problems, as she struggles for survival. Sustainable solutions and keeping God at the center have been a big part of our progressive movement forward. We are making a difference daily in children’s lives in our area and pray this will be so for generations to come.
The last few years have been extremely difficult, but worth the effort. God has blessed our mission and ministry. We have an excellent administrative staff, teachers, cooks, and students meeting top test scores in the whole country of Haiti.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support, as we continue to finish many projects. We pray for God’s protection on our mountain and blessings to finish the infrastructure. We are planning to expand our modern toilets, play areas, modernize our kitchen and renew our medical clinic. Please consider us in your 2025 plans, if God lays this on your heart. May God bless your New Year as we venture into 2025!
May God bless you!
