March 2025
Greetings! We have had a good start to the new year at Haiti’s Children’s Hope. Thanks for your continued support in these challenging times. Christian education, meals and small construction continues in 2025. Thanks to many of you that have helped with additional gifts, due to inflation, country instability, and changes within our organization.
We just hired a new Secretary/Accountant and Nurse for our educational center and medical clinic. We appreciate the service of our other personnel that have moved to new opportunities in another country.
We are currently working toward one item to help make our kitchen a more sustainable solution – a wood fired oven to bake bread for our students. It will provide bread for those times when food is not as available due to unrest in the nation. It will also make it possible to sell some in the local community to add local financial contributions. The approximate cost is $4,000 US dollars for this project.
Our Volunteer US Staff continues to keep HCH overhead to a minimum. While we have tax accountant fees and banking costs that are unavoidable, we still get 98 cents of each dollar directly to Haiti. We thank God for this!
Each of our US Team members are significant in the support they give us. Our Communications Director, Child Sponsorship Coordinator, and Financial Administrator, are active and keep us informed and legal. Due to the daily stress and difficulties in Haiti, it is hard to keep up, sometimes, with photos and letters from our sponsored children.
We are looking for a smooth transition to a new President of our non-profit charity in the next two years. We are continuing to work with a European Country Non-Profit, to help us with a poultry farm. They helped us with our aqua-farm and water well projects. They provided funds for our solar electricity on our farm for irrigation control.
May God bless you as we continue this important mission. We are currently spending $1,000 a week when school is in session. We are feeding approximately 7,000 meals a month at about 60 cents a meal. Thanks again for your prayers, child sponsorships, and funds provided for our day to day operations.
In Jesus’ name for His children,
Jacob E. Wilson,
President Haiti’s Children’s Hope Org.
