June 2023

Greetings,

Imagine waking up to a world full of poverty, no electricity, no plumbing, no transportation, no breakfast. This is still the world that most of our children experience daily.

Thanks to you, we are continuing to break this cycle of extreme poverty through God’s love made tangible from the help your support provides. When the children attend school, they receive daily food, education, medical support for the body and care for their soul. As a Christian school, each student receives daily teaching about God’s love.

Those in our area of Haiti have experienced a recent flood with many lives lost and harm to homes, roads and buildings. We are grateful our people and buildings remained safe and our farm has minimal damage. We have been able to support many who are experiencing hardship as they work to recover, including housing one of our teachers and family whose home was flooded.

Please pray for those who have been affected. As we have resources, we will continue supporting them as they return to normal.

This month we are celebrating 11 years of HCH being involved in the lives of Haitian children and families! We are so grateful for all God has done in these 11 years and the ways we’ve been able to adapt and meet needs in spite of all that’s happened in the country. While very few organizations remain in Haiti to help with the many needs, God has made a way for us to continue on. We praise Him for this & thank you for your part!

Due to the late start of school last fall, we are continuing school into July. National School Exams will be given in July. Our tilapia fish farm is nearing operational status to grow fish for our children and the market. The farm continues to provide food to supplement school and Kids Club lunches. Currently, we are supplying 7,000 meals monthly.

We plan to start construction in July, on the modern kitchen and area for high school rooms. We have raised approximately $15,000 of the $50,000+ needed to make these areas operational. We are hopeful to have a designated computer area and library.

We are thankful to have dedicated Haitians on the ground each day making a difference in 300 children’s lives and having a positive influence for 1,000 people in the area. May God bless your summer. We thank you for your daily prayers and contributions. Together we are making a difference in children’s lives!

In Jesus Name for His Children,

Jacob E. Wilson
President Haiti’s Children’s Hope Org.
