September 2023

Greetings,

We hope everyone had a wonderful summer 2023! We are grateful to all of you who have kept us in prayer and continue to support us financially. We are still working hard every day on the ground in Haiti.

Summer school included Photography, Computer, and English courses. We continued preparing for our school to open mid-September, for the 2023-2024 school year.

Summer construction has continued on our modern kitchen and high school. The second story and new roof has made our building operational.

Exciting details are:

  • We are expanding to the 10th grade
  • We are in our ninth year of school
  • We will have approximately 300 students daily
  • This year will bring fresh uniforms, new books, and daily meals, including fish, vegetables and fruits, grown at our own farm!

We have built relationships with many people in Haiti and many organizations working together to better Haiti. Through collaboration, with other organizations, we have shared in water, farming, and earthquake projects.

Before the end of 2023, there are plans to visit Haiti’s 2021 earthquake area, to continue supporting them in the many challenges they face. That earthquake destroyed or damaged many schools and churches in western Haiti. A new water well is being drilled there in October.

As school commences, we look forward to a more stable, safer country. We will be a part of that through education, medical care, school lunches, kids clubs and sponsorships. We appreciate your role in that as Haiti has been through many challenges in recent years. May God bless you, as we move forward.

Sincerely,
Jacob E. Wilson
President Haiti’s Children’s Hope Org.
